　　The person I am going to talk about is Oksana Chusovitina, who is an Olympic gymnast (體操運動員) who has competed for the Soviet Union, Uzbekistan, and Germany. She is the only female gymnast ever to compete in eight Olympic Games

　　I knew her because of Olympic games. In the game of Uneven Bars, she stood out from the crowd (脫穎而出) not only because her perfect performance but also because of her age. It is very obvious that she was more than 30 years old in 2021 Japan Olympic games. I was wondering why a woman of her age still competed on the international sports arena because most of gymnasts are under 20 years ago. Out of curiosity, i searched for information about her on the internet. That’s how i got to know her.

　　She has won a lot of medals and championships including the gold medal in Olympic games.

　　The reason why she is so famous is not that she has won so many games and become the gold medalist（金牌得主）. The real reason is that she has attended the Olympic games for 8 consecutive times（連續8次）. She did so because when her son was diagnosed with leukemia（白血病）in 2002, and she decided to return to the sports arena to cover the medical fees. What a great mother she is！ In order to save her son, she is willing to compete with younger athletes and spent another 30 years on the sports arena.
