　　I have heard a saying that giving roses in other’s hands, fragrance keeps in mine. This simple sentence shows the pleasure people can get from offering help to others. And that’s what I had experienced several months ago.

　　My friend Zeph held an exhibition to display his paintings in Shanghai and he needed to translate the introductions and descriptions of his work in order to communicate better with foreigners. Considering the limited budget, Zeph couldn't afford a professional translator, but he knew that I had been focusing on learning English for my future study abroad, so he came to me for help. My language ability needs some improvement though, I still said yes and accepted the task.

　　As you may know, the contents of artwork are usually abstract and romantic, so there were countless obscure words which are hard to find out the corresponding translations in English. But I tried my best to organize my language to reduce the translations, during which, I had learnt authentic phrases, so literally, I offered the help and gained progress in English as well.

　　Zeph later told me that thanks to my help, he got the compliments from many foreign visitors and even sold several paintings, which built my confidence and motivated me to work harder in improving myself.

　　How do people usually help each other

　　In fact, there are many ways to help others depending on what kind of difficulties the people encounter and what kind of help they need. For example, when we meet children in poverty-stricken mountainous areas, we can make donations within our capabilities; When we find it difficult for our friends to resolve the depression, we can take them out to relax, eat and chat. All in all, in my opinion, there is no fixed way to help others. As long as the problem can be solved, the result is good, and the approach is not the most important thing.

　　How is online help different from real-life help?

　　Online help can only solve some remote problems, such as helping classmates or friends to solve academic problems, or guiding teaching through voice and video, but not demonstrating in person. Real-life help can be more efficient sometimes, because you can personally know the problems and observe more details, such as helping others repair computers, install machines, and so on. In general, online help and real-life help have their own advantages and disadvantages, which can only be reflected in a specific situation.

　　Should schools be responsible for teaching students how to cooperate?

　　Of course, the school plays an indispensable role in the process of children's growth, and it should be responsible for the morality and the ability of students. For students, the two places where they spend the longest time are family and school. The school should work with parents to cultivate children's good qualities, including learning to cooperate. Cooperation can get twice the result with half the effort, improving efficiency and stimulating children’s creativity.

　　What are the differences between help from friends and help from family?

　　It's hard to tell the differences between the help from friends and the help from family, because it needs to be analyzed according to specific situations. Take myself as an example, when I encounter difficulties, in order not to let my family worry about me, I usually give priority to seeking the help from my friends, the reason is that firstly my friends are near me and can quickly participate in the problem solving. Second, my friends are close to me in age, and we can communicate more easily. However, it is better to accept the help from family when having some particular difficulties, for example, when I am short of money, I prefer to turn to my parents for help, because their love is selfless, and they are willing to pay regardless. Additionally，in front of parents, there is no need to worry about being shameful or embarrassed.
