Dear Mr. Smith,
I am writing this letter to apologise for the changes in the venue and date of our business meeting that was supposed to be held on next Monday at my company.
The reason why I have to postpone the event is an incedent related to the pandemic. Perhaps you have read the news this morning that one employee in our industrial park has been tested positive for COVID-19 yesterday and according to the regulations, we are not allowed to hold any meetings in recent 3 weeks.
Therefore,we have to make some adjustments to our schedule. I suggest that we could change to an online meeting next Wednesday, when both of us can be technically ready. Then we would avoid further delays of our project.
I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by these changes. Your kind understanding and cooperation are highly appreciated. Please do not hesitate do contact us if you have any further questions about the online meeting.
