　　The reading passage and the lecture are both talking about whether a certain painting was painted by leonardo da vinci. Unlike the reading passage, the lecture considers we cannot determine whether this painting was painted by leonardo da vinci or not.

　　The first point of the lecture admits the passage’s argument that the paint used in the painting was a contemporary invention and Da Vinci was proved to be the first one to use that kind of paint. However, the lecture continues to argue that artists in later periods can also use this kind of paint. New evidence suggests that the paint in this painting was quite smooth, if it was indeed that old, it would be cracked, so the painting couldn’t be dated back to Da Vinci’s era.

　　The second point of the lecture argues against the validity of the dating of canvas. The fact that the canvas can be dated back to Da Vinci’s era doesn’t mean that it was used at that time. It is possible that this canvas was stored for a quite a long time and then be used by later generation artists.

　　The third point refers the fingerprints discovered on the painting. The passage mentions that the fingerprints resemble Da Vinci’s. However, The lecture asserts that the fingerprints are not clear enough to identify, and similarity doesn’t guarantee certainty.
